So I'm thinking about ditching my 15 setup and going to a small 10, but I'm trying to save as much trunk space as possible so I think I'll be mounting the car so that it fires perpendicular to the car. (facing the driver side)

A couple questions
1) will this change the sound at all for the worse?
2) how much room behind the driver should i allow? (how close can the magnet be the mdf on the back of the box?)
3) is trupan light much lighter than mdf/as sturdy as mdf

i think i'll be using a small 10 (AP epic, diamond d310, etc.)

I run a two 10" system..... build that right box and it will sound as good as a bigger system. Just be prepared for a loss of SPL.

every car's acostic is different - can sound better or worst

i like to leave about 2" if possible behind a sub ...if there is no vent hole then u can do what u want

trupan ultra light is really light compared to others.....
