i just bought my kicker cvx 12 the other day and installed it today. they are a 4ohm pair running of a kx2500 at 4 ohms. i went to play them after i hooked them up and one of them rattles alot and barely hits at all. i also had this burning smell coming out of my box. i opened it up and abunch of smoke came out. any ideas to what this could be?
i was reading online and it said to put the sub up to a AA battery to see if it moves. it said if it still moved then it might not be blown. is that true? i did it and the sub moved up and down. could it be something mechanical that is causing my sub to sound like its rattling or slapping around?
