Is this the correct wiring?

so i had it setup before for onlu using 1 side and running it to the amp but neither side works anymore... so i tried wiring it like the picture below.. and now the sub hits but it draws so much current now that all my lights dim and the amp light dims and then it will go into protection mode. did i do it wrong? plz help. thank you

now one day it was smoking and the next day it stopped working so i figured i overheated the sub... but then i tried this and its alive again? heres a pic of how i have it hooked up now...Upload

You got it hooked in parallel for 1ohm if your sub is D2. Your gain is probably too high for your current load or you're lacking the voltage. Some other people have had problems like these with those amps.

Why were you only using one side...

some dumb idiots hooked my stuff up.. doing all my electronics myself from now on. haha... well im guessing i need to invest in that H.O. alt. right about now? it still smells funny when its playing... like burning rubber but not lol.

nah thats what its supposed to sound... lol Hope you learned from your mistake, that was an expensive sub to learn from.

yea good thing i didnt pay retail price for it... but im still out $250 lol. def learned my lesson.
