it doesn't matter does it?

it still equals out to the same port length or is this over my head?

well you would want to make the port the same width all the way through so however wide ur port is u would subtract from teh longer piece

no. they dont equal out. i dont know what total length on either is because ive had this same question. your port on the second picture will be 2 inches longer then the first. i do know that. lol

well i mean the port will be the same width all the way through. what i dont know is when i make the bend i dont know how much longer to make the port.

Do i measure from the port opening to where the bend is then whatever length i still need to make the total length of the port i make with the second peice of wood for the port.

OR

Do i measure from the port opening to the back wall of the box then whatever length i still need to make the toal length of the port i make with the second peice.

I am almost positive that you want to do it the way the first picture showed.

The way I do it you take half the ports width off of the total port length to account for the turn.

neither is right

this is how i know its supposed to be Upload

port is the same width so where it bends u draw a 45 degree line there in the middle & continue the length as needed ...u measure along the centre on the port ...hope i explained it clear enough ...

My method is the simplified way of accounting for Rovins example.
