Is there any way to wire a DVC 4ohm sub to get a 4 ohm load..I have a 4 channel amp.

Can you wire each voice coil of the DVC separately so as to have one coil per channel? This way it would produce a 4 ohm load for each voice coil? or would this hurt the sub?

Okay, So would it make more sense (which means more power) to wire the DVC sub to two separate channels at a 4ohm load or to wire the sub as an 8 ohm load and then bridge it over the two channels.

Do you want to use all 4 channels of the amp or just 2?
With just two channels wire the coils in series for 8 ohms and bridge the amp.
With all 4 you can bridge each pair to run a single coil, but you need to set the gains as close as possible (use a dmm). Crossovers and any other settings would need to be matched up as well.

Better yet, sell the amp and get something that fits the need better.
