i am considering changing my subs because i can get a really good deal on a pair of type x's and ive always wanted to try them.

i just want to know if they can get loud at all. ive heard there pretty much sq subs. ill have them on 1k each and 2.5 cubes each @ 32 hz.

Like how do they compare to type r's.

rite now i got a pair of sx's and am happy with the output but the sq could be better.

I would take them over the type-r's.... They get damn near as loud and sound a WHOLE LOT BETTER.

i know that the sq improvement is going to be drastic but i dont want to lose much output compared to the sx's.

i already bought them anyways lol if im not happy ill just sell them.

i hope i like them tho cuz them i can sell my sx's and get more money then i had before and i can buy my new front stage.

IMO the type-x is really meant to be sealed. Obviously the output is much better ported but I enjoyed it sealed.

i might as well whip up a small sealed box for them since its so easy to build sealed boxes. if i dont like it ill just sell the box too haha. sealed never has enough low end for me.

I've always heard a small sealed box for them is the way to go.
