Yeah, so I am looking at getting a Pioneer AVIC-F700BT in dash DVD HU for my car. Anyone got opinions, comments, feedback on this unit? Any experience with one...or tips? Bypass codes/procedures?

Thanks

if the navi is important to you then that unit is very nice. i personally like the avh-p6000dvd better. you can always buy the separate blue tooth unit.

Ok...so maybe I should post a few things...Nav is nice, not extremely important...could always buy a tom tom or something. I basically want an in dash double din touch screen. One with complete ipod controls, usb hook up, bluetooth, dvd playback. I do like the alpine's...the ones that dock the blackbirds or whatever, really neat...but cost a lot more.

So the F700 doesnt even play dvd's?

no it doesn't. but you can play video off ipod. get the 900 if you want dvd playback.

or for the same price as the F700bt is the 6000. it has 6 disc dvd changer built in.

well i am still looking at the f700. my dad and i are going to best buy today planning to get me an in dash double din LCD. He's been looking up the f900 and f700 and even the pioneer premier f90 [any info on those?] and im gonna try to talk him into the f900. but he keeps talking about the pioneer Z3, so who knows...he may get that, which i would love.

but what do you think about the premier f90bt?

don't buy it from bestbuy. they are expensive. i am sure you can find a local car audio shop.

i like the f900bt. its cool. my main reason for wanting the 6000 is the dvd changer and the screen takes up the whole front face.

yeah, the 6000 is nice...but i dont care all that much about dvd changer. I mean, stock up movies...or mp3 files on them, but i want ipod controls so i can use my ipod which is what i will use most of the time. screen is nicer taking up whole front, but i do like having a few actual buttons...and twist knobs are just plain sexy.

oh, and car audio shops around...well there is 3 of them, 1 sells limited pioneer, one doesnt touch pioneer or alpine and im not sure about the third. but the first shop said he could get me a Pioneer D3 for $1025...and I know I can get that for around $800-900 elsewhere. im still trying to get ahold of this other shop and see what they sell

well then i would spend the extra and get the f900bt.

also if you don't mind buying online, woofersetc will sell you cheaper than best buy.
