I have an 08 Xterra, and I decided to go with a stealthbox from JL. It comes loaded with a 12" W3v3 SVC sub, 500rms @ 4ohms. I have been searching feverishly for an ideal amp, as I have ordered the box and it will be here in a couple days.

I can get my hands on either:
Alpine MRP-M850/M1000 ~ $258
Kicker ZX1000.1 ~ $322
JL 500/1v2 ~ $420

All those amps are 500rms @ 4ohms. Price is somewhat an issue, because the stealthbox is already costing me $590 with tax, installed.

What amp would you guys recommend me getting?

I say get the kicker ZX1000.1 because if you plan on upgrading in the future, you have a good amount of power.

All the amps you listed are perfectly capable of good power at 4 ohms, but with the Alpine's you're paying for 1000/800w and only using 500. Same with the Kicker - paying for 1000, only using 500. With the JL (besides just paying for the name) it's mainly some advanced circuitry that really won't make much difference to your ears.

IMO it would make more sense (be more cost effective) to get a good quality 400-500w 2 channel and bridge it. That way you can use all the power you're paying for.

Here's a very good quality Pioneer Premier for 170 + shipping that will give you 600w at 4 ohms -- http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9355_Pioneer+Premier+PRS-D2100T.html

A Precision Power rated at 440w bridged (probably closer to 500-550) 200 shipped -- http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=16556

A nice Lanzar optidrive that's 500w bridged (and unusually small <7" x <2" x <12" if that matters) for 200 shipped -- http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14082

Of the ones you listed I think the m850 is the best option.
