m.s., just wondering but what size alt. you get from them and how much it'd cost? direct bolt on or did you have to modify any?

I don't own one I have installed them for other people. They were all direct bolt on. The one time I did have an issue CS was great.

" i bought a 200 amp alt for my car and i am running one ab xd2000 and my headlights still dim really bad. i dont think that the alts do their rated current. "

Yeah, because how much your headlights dim is a great measure of how much current your alt puts out Ever heard of this thing called battery capacity, you need both.

And anything > than iraggi. Actually let me edit that. Anything > irragi or EA.

I recommed DB Electrical over all though. But they only make alts for american made vehicles.

Thats where mine is from, and they are the best quality product and best CS I have seen yet.

yeah, but they don't make one for a Chevy S-10, 2.2 liter, only the 4 liter engines. I looked at them first already.

I've heard more things about DB being better than MCR but haven't heard bad things about MCR.

Iraggi has horrible CS from what I've heard. Not as bad as Indo Audio was but still not very good.

iraggi was the only company that would quote me for a 200+ amp alt for my car.

mechman alts come with a certificate stating what they are dynod at. i had an excessive amperage that was very good. but ive heard they are a hit and miss just like iraggi. :-( never dealt with mcr or db. i like my mechy. direct bolt. :-)

Heres another place to get an alternator. Lowlife bought one and has no complaints and they have a high idle amperage.
