I am a day away from ordering my component speakers and amp. I was just wondering from a person who knows there stuff, is this a good combo or should i go with a diff amp, say a 4 channel or sumtin.

Comp Speakers:

-Diamond Audio S600's

Sensitivity: 91 dB
RMS Power Range : 20-170 Watts
Frequency response: 42-22000 Hz
Diameter: 6 Inch

And for the amplifier:

-Diamond Audio D3 400.2

2 channel
RMS Power @ 4 Ohm: 400 Watts x 1
RMS Power @ 2 Ohm: 200 Watts x 2
RMS Power @ 4 Ohm: 100 Watts x 2

Thx for the help guys.

those speakers r gonna need more power than that amp can put out at 4ohms. i would suggest getting a 4channel amp and bridging it to 2 channels.

are you serious? i guess i dont get how it works.

I thought because the component speakers are rated for 170 RMS and the amp was rated for 400 RMS at 4 ohms that the amp would actually be too powerfull for them, but this isnt the case?

noooo you look at what it puts out at 4 ohms times 2. Hince powering 2 speakers. The 100X2 @ 4ohms is the one you look at. Here i suggest this amp, the one i want to get. Very underrated, said to put out 200ish X2 @ 4 ohms.

no problem. The amp i posted up to is Rockford Fosgate T3002. Just google it, it'll pop up. That amp is rated at 50 X 2 @ 4 ohms, but will actually put out 200 X 2 @ 4 ohms from what I've seen.

that kicker will do just fine for those speakers. and FYI those speakers really need about 200rms to get that midbass to come alive. and make sure you sound deaden your doors to get as much bass as possible out of those speakers!
