Ok i did the calculations on a calculator and put in my box height, width, depth ect and it came back that it was tuned for 34hz.

I dont get it. My local audio shop told me my box was tuned right off when he tried to do my gains on my amp by hand.

I really do think it is too big for the sub but that calculations still worked it out to 34hz. ANy help here guys? :-(

Width- 31"
height- 15"
depth (top+Bottom)- 15"
Port hole length- 2.5"

1.5 sq ft sounds a little on the small side for a Type-r.

i built a box for a 12" R and it was 2.5cuft before displacement tuned to 35Hz and it sounded great. good amount of output for a single 12

Yeah your going to want around 2.0 cubic feet for one type-r and 35hz is a great frequency.
