and I also ordered the Kicker 08ZX1000.1 Monoblock subwoofer
Now the l7 is only 750 rms and the amp is 1000 rms Should I be alright what is the best thing to do to make sure it doesnt blow it like gain or bass boost down any advice would be appreciated

First of all, is your subwoofer dvc 2ohm or dvc 4ohm? Should really check into that. That amp produces maximum power at 2ohms. Check into that and come back.

Knowing that amp, you'll be pushing that sub a little bit to much than its recommended RMS. But thats continuious, and theres plenty of people out there that run more power to those subs. IMO, you should be fine, just be careful. Set your gain right and if you feel like your pushing it to hard, lower your gain. If you wanted to stick to the 750rms power range that sub is capable of handling, look into the kicker zx750.1.

berny just turn down boosts and stuff it if cuts out or clips thing is you will have much higher spl with the 1000.1 then the 750.1 i would guess 1.5-2 db anyways?

General rule is a 3db jump every time you double the power. Adding 33% won't get you 1.5-2 db increase. More like 1 db by my Neanderthal math.

you will be fine with the zx1000 and L7. people have put 1500rms to them (i wouldnt suggest it tho). but like everyone has said, just set your gains right and you will be happy.

one more thing, are you going to build a box or have one built? because buying a prefab box is just like throwing away money.

Your amp can never have too much power for the sub. You can set the gain according to the output you want from it. (up to it's rated limit of course)
