Make sure you show how easy it is to manipulate the #'s on the AC.

You can also manipulate #'s on the TL, but it is not as easy as on the AC.

Yea, you really can't trust ANY numbers unless you are there or at an event. TL's can be set to read high as well.

exactly.

that is why competitors tell you to bring it too the lanes when people make claims on #'s.

hell, I could make a vid of my truck doing high 170s on the dash...but that would mean nothing in the lanes.

IIRC...Once you set the K-factor (calibration) and start an event, you can't change the K.

Nice .
I also hear that a coil of powered wire buried in the dash under the mic (AC190) can cause erronious readings as well. Another cheat I heard was a small hose thru a dash speaker grill, set to blow major psi air at the mic. I hear that was discovered when a dude got a 160 or something crazy.... with no stereo going.
Must have made some fun entertainment.

The tube in the dash thing is touchy subject. And if you at talking about the guy I think you are talking about...he was never caught w/ a tube, he was accused of it though.

I have talked to people that know him personally and they say he had no tube. It was just a bunch of BS that hit the fan.

There are alot of things in the 'grey area' you can do and remain 'legal'.
