Anonymous | Here's my choice Shiva Alpine Infinity Both the Shivas and Alpines are a good bang for the buck sub, but the Shivas hit harder and handle a little more power. The main thing to consider is that the Shivas need a huge box. Something like 1.25 or 1.5 cu.ft. wheras the Alpines will work in a much smaller enclosure. I'm not really a fan of Infinity subs. Heard too many failure stories, although they are known for their sq abilities. But still, not even in my top 10 of all sub brands. |

Anonymous | so far everyones said that shivas would be the best subs for me so i decided to read up on them some more. http://www.adireaudio.com/Files/ShivaTechSummary.PDF i read about them on the adire site and it says it has a rms of 650 and each voice coil is 8 ohms... why is the ohms so high? what is the point of having ohms greater than 4 other than so i have to pay more for an expensive amp/s? i currently have a lanzar vibe 1200d http://www.lanzar.com/itempage.asp?MODEL=VIBE1200D and don't think i can fully power even one shiva let alone two. please let me know what you think. thanks again for all your help!
