i have a few questions:

i have a 200 amp alternator. i have big three done. what is the max wattage i can put on that? would 1500 be too much to handle?

and what would be my best option on 12 inch subs for around 350-400 dollars that dont exceed 1500 watts? i really wanted 15's tho do you think if i hooked up 2 alpine type R 15 that it would be loud? how would that compare to a couple 12's at 750 wrms a piece? i have never heard type r's before. any input would be appreciated!!

For starters a 200 amp alt should be more than enough for 1500w. Volts X amps = watts, minus your cars normal draw. You have plenty.

I'm assuming you already have the amp. Personally I would go with the single sub setup with a 15". (I just love them). 18" even better, depends on your box size limits. What vehicle are we talking about? Also what kind of bass you're after.
