Hey guys, So I'm about to build an enclosure for two JLs. 12" w6v2. I was wondering, what do you guys think is better. Rearfire or downfire? This is going in a 98civic 4dr. I'm under the impression that downfire will sound better because the sound gets distributed better. It doesn't all fire to the back, and so in the long run leaves less rattling around the outside trunk area... Is this correct or am I going insane?
Bass is omni-directional, meaning it will go everywhere instead of one focused direction regardless of where the subs are pointed. Cancellation will be the real issue. I would try both and see what sounds best to you.
