Backward sub mounting

nelly
Hi, i was recently at a circut city and i noticed that a lot of their subs were backwards in the box. (cones in, magnets out) is there any advantage in doing that?

not really, just if its dual voice coil you can mess with the wires. subs move just as far in as they do out... its an equal wave.../\/\/\/\/\/\/\ like that, only advantage, wich is why mine are backwards, is that i like to cruise around town with my subs wired one way... so i dont overkill them... then when its competition time i wire them to get more power... Protection and style are the only benefits (besides a disputed theory that inverted subs sound more clean and hide some of the high frequencies that get through your filter.)
