Went to a SLAP show today. They used a 190 meter. best of the day was 164.
Good turn out. Anyway, New best for me,
139.6. So close to the 140 lol.
That was with 2-dub 13's with 500 watts each, playing a sweep from 70-40 htz in a big assssss van.
Got some pics i will get up later.

Have you ever thought about placing a wall behind your driver seat? not for subs.. just a dividing wall making the cabin area smaller... put the sub in front of the wall in a truck style box

my friend did that with his van.. he burps 147s-148s with two treo ssi 12s on a hifonics 1500? not sure the hifonics amp.. its nothing huge

Thanks Sean.
A wall is not very paracticle for me, as I go to comps like 4-5 times a year, but use it as a work van everyday. Also if I wanted to go thru that much work, I would just throw some comp spl subs in and like 8000 watts of amps in there and call it a day.
And I would rather spend my time and cash on other things.
to me its a hobby. Just something diffrent to do.

I hate to rain on the parade but, a score on that audiocontrol meter ain't legit compared to a TL they read higher.

Well you said it was a personal best.... I'm guessing that was compared to some TL scores.

Maybe you be thinking about the AC 160 or 180.

https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/car-audio/108400.html

From CA forum.
"
I know that slapshow uses the slp190 its called now. I thought that there was a spl180 that looks the same. No Im not talking about the small pen one. Its square also. But I must be mistaken then. The TL and AC 190 I have found them to be dead on. Some ppl say .2 as you or even 1 db off. I havent found that to be the case."

My bad I was thinking of the other AC meters. But does anyone know, does that 190 have a calibration adjustment on it? That is one of the reasons for not trusting AC meters... the TL has no calibration.

Yeah the ac 190 was either right on or just might be a tad tighter than the termlab in some cases if memory serves me right.

If I was going to finals and needed points, I would have to go, But Being as I just compete for fun, $100 is too much fun for me. I may stop by to check it out, All depends what the Southie show is like.
