IDK if I'd trust that for that price. Notice they don't give idle amperage or what RPM the 140 amp rating is at.

And why only 140 amp? If your gonna get an HO alternator do it right and get a big one.

it has a 1 year warranty.. 140 amps is not quite enough IMO for trying to run a AQ2200 at .5 ohm

Not bad but if possible get a bigger alt because when you come to stop lights and stop signs you'll need the extra amperage during idle. That is unless of course you like doing brake torques =/

he said he can put adifferent pully on it so it will get more like 130 or 140 at idle but i might have to get a new belt.

does all this sound normal?

I seem to have no luck with my HO alts :-(

Excessive Amperage:
1st one (200a) squelled like a mofo when starting up the vehicle, when I came to a stop or when I cranked my stereo up.

That one died over the winter some how.

Motor City Remanufacturing:
New 160a alt is much better, no squeels but it seems to stop charging completely when I come to a stop and remain in drive as I drop to 12v.. :-(

^^^^ Unless your battery light comes on it does NOT stop charging. It may have little output at idle though.

Sounds like something a smaller pulley and shorter belt would fix.
