2ohm vs 4 ohms subs

If i understand ohm it is resistance correct? and if the number is lower that means the resistance is lower? So 2 ohm would be the lowest or 1ohm? So a 2 ohm speaker would be best to buy if i was getting a 12 inch sub dvc 2ohm or 4ohm? or is thier away to take 2 4 ohm subs and make them 2 ohm?

You get a 4 ohm sub and wire it to 2 ohms to the amp.

so you can take a 4 ohm sub, and make it 2 ohm which will make it better correct? (Less resistance)

lets say 2 12's dvc for instance (+/-) (+/-) both are 4 ohm take the 2 +'s and the 2 -'s together to make em 2 ohm? this is called parallel hook up?

Then i take my amp and combine the 2 channels for subside and make them 1 channel and hook the speakers up this is called bridging?

please clarify this
