I plan on selling my 15" FI Q 2ohm, and would like to know what the best way to ship a sub is. Do I need to reinforce the box, and what kind of protective material to use.

Whatever you do don't use clothing or towels. That's ghetto. The key is to keep the sub from moving. Pack all voids tight with tightly balled up newspaper and such. When I shipped my Mag I cut square pieces of luan and lined the entire box with it just to keep the rigidity. Never have the magnet structure actually touching the bottom. Put foam or something to line the bottom with.

Expect/prepare for the box to withstand a 6' drop and survive.

Look behind chain stores or office supply stores. The dumpsters are LOADED with fantastic packing material all free.
