Thinkin bout pickin this sub up for my 07 f-150. Goin to be ran sealed and powered by a alpine pdx 1000.1. Lookin for a SQ sub that has the potential to get loud when needed.

Very good sub, excellent choice. Stick with JBL suggested box size and you will be golden.

I also am picking up one of these bad boys, Problem is the 10.5 inches mounting depth which means I need a new box built which will cost about $600.
Have you ever checked out the Diamond Audio HEX Pro Subwoofers? They are pretty badass too. But personally I LOVE the JBL and hope to blow away my sons little Fosgate P2 he bumps with. It is loud as hell, but I got way more power with my Zapco c2k 6.0 to push the JBL. The sensitivity is 91 db on that thing. LIttle power make it louder. I'm gonna rock

I got the quote from Streetnoyz in san diego. It is a custom box that stealth fits in the bmw and is angled so taht I can get to the spare tire and bolted to the car so it cannot move. It may be a bit pricey, but it is not an easy box to build as I can see.

I have gotten two quotes, and both are over $500. Its a custom box built into the car and bracketed to the frame for stability and theftproofedness. The sub will face slightly down at an angle (so I can still get the spare out) and will have a stealth cover bolted to the front with hex head bolts from IKEA that make a nice look and you can't see the sub as well as protect it.
I know it sounds like alot, wish I could do it myself. But I don't know what else to do.
Anyone know anyone in San Diego, CA who could help me out?
