2 15" RD Heavyweights properly powered would hit good numbers in any vehicle.

i had 2 d615d4 diamonds tuned to 45 hertz in my s-10 and could barely sit in the truck and yes i would say s-10 is in the top five spl vechiles

Your going to need a lot of power to run three heavyweights. You might want to step down to a lower line if your going with rd. What kind of power do you plan on running. And yes it would be a good spl vehicle but space will be some what of a limiting factor with trying to keep the box below the window line.

An ext cab S10 is the loudest stock class vehicle in USACi (ever) right now.

Square body S10's are in the top 3 best vehicles for Stock classes. And a huge advantage w/ them is you have the bed for amps/batts.

BTW, you wanna sell it :-)

IF the sub's are close to a G. Plus amp's/alt/batt man that's going to be one expensive setup.

Ive seen two l7 10's do a 147 in a truck like the s10 extend cab on 3000 watts rms in a burp box so yeah the truck will get loud. Not that im recommending the l7's. The first thing I would do is find out how much cubic feet you would have and then pick your subs around that because 15's dont take small boxes and you want to make sure you can give them the right airspace. As for the frequency the truck will like I know the guy that had the truck similar to the s10 I was speaking of hit best at 63 hz but he used alot of bass boost so that probably was not the true frequency of that vehicle.

Chris...

Just how loud do you want to get?

You could do some mid-level 15's in that truck w/ ~2.5-3kw and get really loud.

You need heavyweights in a mini if your running spl. Motor strength is important due to port size

The RD Sonance is not an SPL sub at all...

*confused*

With that amp i would run 2 mmats juggernaut 15s at .7ohm for spl.

Besides the coil configuration make sure you even have the room to run three 15's because the right airspace for the sub is important.

Zach is correct. Three 15" subs forward and the slot port facing up going the length of the box is a great start.

We have some of the loudest s-10's in the world running RD and that is the box they run.

three HW's have gotten up to 165.7 in that style box still under the window line. The Alpha's have gotten to 162.9 in one of our competitors s-10's

Nope. It's because you're a f ucker :-)

Steve, do you know the guy who was running 3 RD subs with 3 Memphis 4kws? I believe this was in a Toyota Truck. I want to say his name is Jack.

Ahh, I see. Those RD amplifiers are probably more efficient by far. Yea, I was pretty sure he was running 3 15'' Alphas. Cool guy too as far as I could tell from when I talked with him. He mentioned that he was going to shoot from some crazy numbers and he was bullsh1tting that's for sure :-)

Rob I was or wasn't bullsh1tting?
Chris listen to Zac, myself and Steve do 3 15's or you will regret the waste of a box build later.

kinda is and kinda isn't. your best bet is to look on ca.com under the build logs. theres several wall logs in there. see if you want to do that to your vehicle in the first place. wall and daily driver usually don't go in the same sentence but if you feel you can afford the extra gas it will cost to get from point a to point b go for it. about 90% of walls are permanent so if you plan on reselling the car its probably NOT a good idea.

What?! Competitors tear out their walls all the time to gain that extra tenth of a DB all the time. They're far from permanent.

usually they tear out just the baffle. ive never known someone to completely tear out and start from scratch. i see what you mean though. i just want to make sure the OP understands how much works involved.
