Sirius satellite radio has successfully bought out XM satellite radio.

https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/radio/146299.html

The FCC approved the merger, and they say when Sirius takes over everything, subscribers to either service should be able to get content from the other for the same price you pay now.

I have Sirius and I think this is pretty sweet, discuss.

You linked a thread started over 3 years ago. Wow.

I don't have either. Radio should be free.

Soon I'll have to pay to watch commercials.

Oh wait....

I pay for HBO. Then I have to pay extra for certain boxing events. Pay on top of pay?

Hahaha there were several threads where he bashed sirius and said it would die...... I couldn't find the one I posted in.

And FM radio is free b/c it has commercials. Sat radio music channels are commercial-free and it has a huge selection of stations.

It doesn't have any better SQ than FM though which sucks but thats another story.

No Chad, the new combined company is called Sirius XM Radio and it will keep supporting all current Sirius and XM subscriptions. But in the future you should get an option to upgrade to a subscription that gives you content from both XM and Sirius for the same price you pay now.
