Ive got a 250a. Absolutely love it. Puts out more power than my Excessive Amp 300a.

Make sure you get one with decent idle amperage.

160 amp units will put out 70-80 amps at idle
170 amp units will put out 75-85 amps at idle
200 amp units will put out 90-100 amps at idle
250 amp units will put out 120-130 amps at idle

Godd quality alternators but you can probably get more power for the $ from DB Electrical.

It looks like they have one that puts out 200 plus at 1200 rpm and 105 at idle. Did you say on another thread that you checked with Kevin Holden? He has some good alts I hear.

If your planing on running the audioque 2200 and an amp for your highs you really should have a larger alt than a 200. I know people dont like iraggi but he would probably be your next option for a alt at a good price with higher output. My brother has a 300 amp from him and other than the alt being built wrong the first time iraggi made it right and he hasnt had any problems since.

I talked with a few guys from Soundpressure (DD forum) and DJ himself and they said I should have no trouble.

Ok I hope they are right. I mean you do have a battery reserve but that shortens the life of the battery if you draw on it too much.
