From 0ga, and now it's doing the same as when the 0ga was in. The amp goes into protect when i turn the volume up to around 40 out of 62. When I had the 4ga wire in before, it worked fine...Help?

when u upgraded ur wire... u probably made a loose connection. Check your ground for your amp first. also if u redid ur speaker wiring. double check

The larger wire was a better idea because it will actually help minimize losses.

yeah theres no reason why it would do that by switching to bigger wire, unless the wire is damaged, the ground is most likely loose

Well, the amp never went into protect before with the 4ga. Once I switched to the 0ga it then began going into protect, that's when I was trying to pull 1500w outta the stock electrical though. So i switched the wiring back to the 4ga, and the old sub i had back in...and it's going into protect.

Bigger wire is always better regardless

make sure your not just wiring your subwoofer wrong. if you have it wired to a lower impedance than the amp is stable at your amp could go in to protect mode.
