Amp problem

when i tap on my amp or go over bumps my sub hits... does anyone know what the problem could be?

Loose ground would be my bet.

i just switched amps and it didnt do it with my other one so are you saying loose internal ground?

it's likely to be internal... have you checked the rca area of the amp?

is the amp you are talking about your Kicker ZX750.1?
try tapping on the rca's while plugged in.. Does it make the thumping sound thru the subs?

no its an orion 2500d. yes it makes a thumping threw the subs...

sounds like its an internal RCA connection problem... Happened to me b4... i had a local shop diagnose and fix mine.. 10 bux.. also very well could be something different tho..

lets be serious here ... ive ran every amp ive ever run mounted on the box and never had an issue ...

I wouldn't... and wouldn't recommend it...Unless space is an issue. I've done it before w/o any problems. There is usually other seemingly better places to mount an amp than on a hard-hitting enclosure. But to each his own, I guess...
