alright after looking at the specs for box size and the woofer, i have decided this sub is for me.

Rec Box (cubic ft) 2.75 cft
Port Area (sq in) 38.5 sq in
Port Length (inches) 18 inches

that right there is perfect for a person like me who can't put a big box in his trunk. not to mention this sub is a superb sub (so i am told by many).

now my revo will go on sale. $300 shipped.

email me at twin5869 @ sbcglobal.net if you are interested

I thought your Revo was a 12'' Chad? Stepping it up to a 15'' now? I can't even remember right now, you've gone through too many setups. Now you'll need matching DD amplifiers for that sub along with some DD 6.5'' components :-)

Jake, I'll hit you up, I've been insanely busy lately since I was in the process of moving but now I'm all moved out so I should have more free time because I've seen that you messaged me a couple of times but I haven't been able to hit you back. I should be able to hit you up sometime today after I hit the weights and finish gutting my car.

naw its a 15 rob. this revo needs around 4 cuft with around 50-60 sq inches of port. i just can't do that in my trunk.

don't get me wrong it sounds awesome right now. but i like to have everything just right. you can say i am a bit an@l retentive.

That is way to much for a SQ sub handling between 1000-1500 rms, was reading on them at the soundpressure forum. I like my 5200 and on 5K ++ it is all i will need. Hey I made a panel and sealed the box, great for house music was truely surprised how the front stage made everything sound, I even turned the sub down...Polo.

yeah polo its too expensive. i was thinking of 700-800 range. but oh well.

i might just get a 12 inch revo so i can build a box with big port area. the revo needs to breathe. it needs big port. right now the box i have sounds good but on some music it sounds a bit muffled. like it needs to move a bit more air but it can't.

Chad, what are your trunk dimensions? Have you thought about giving BJ or Phil a call to look over box-building plans? Maybe you could get a box built to perfect specs if they can look over stuff for you.

"Mat doesn't do the same as fill. Polo."

It worked for us....only difference is it was stuffed in the box....the ported box tuning dropped form 45 hz to about 39 hz with it in....in the past I said it gained spl but in another test I saw it lost .4 db at the best hit frequency so im not sure if I remembered wrong that time or what

Kevin, I had a 90 Jetta that I did the very same thing! Actually I stuffed one of those cheap flea market bandpass with two 15's and had to kick it in place, it was never coming out. Matter of fact I wrecked that car, smashing it into a freight car doing 110 mph and drunk off my @ss, it never even budged lOl. Polo.
