whats up everyone ~

Ok, so a couple nights ago someone broke into my car by smashing the driver side glass and took my brand new alpine 9887 (it was installed), my jl 350/2, and my 2 12's cvr's 06's... i am going to call my insurance company to see what if they will cover anything.. i have heard that people have gotten some stuff covered by their insurance company when they have gotten their car broken into.. but i wanna know if you guys have experienced it or know what i should say (or lie about) when i call them..

thanks!

I heard man. :-( All they left were your CDT components right? I heard that OSU/Corvallis is one of the best spots to get your car audio jacked.

I can't help with your question though, sorry.

if the car was parked at your house your home owners insurance may cover it..

Check local pawn shops in a few days, thats where a lot of stolen stuff goes.

And get an alarm with a 2-way pager if you have to park in a bad area.

That sucks BIG TIME though sorry to hear it.

Ouch man that sucks. I can tell you this though, screw some holes in the bottom of your trunk as if your box and amp were bolted down. Alot of insurance companies want to make sure of that before they go any further. If bolted down 99% of time they pay, but you may have to give the he!!.

for sure get yourself an alarm with insurance money though, will save you alot of troubles.

find the bum who stole your stuff and cut both his hands off. then tie him down and have 15 crackheads gangrape him for 6 hours. ($50 in crack goes a long way)

the next one you catch do that to him and his whole family including the dog.

wow excursion...that was a lil excessive but whatever

bassman, someone mentioned going to pawn shops, and thats a good idea, but you need the serial numbers for them to give them back to you. hopefully the insurance company will show some sympathy and help you out. sorry to hear it and it happens to the best of us

yes, You need full theft coverage, and make sure it includes all items permanently installed in the car. Also reciets will prove what you had in there. Some homeowner policies may cover what the car policy wont as well. there is a service out there thats free to send any serial numbers of elcetronics to. That way if its stolen, a pawn shop can tell and you may get the stuff back.

Thats too bad man.

about the recipt thing... not true. I bought all my stuff from a pawn shop for my first system (except for the HU) and didnt have a recipt for ANY of it and my insurance paid me MSRP for everything even the prefab box. I MADE 900 bucks off of that deal. I had state farm with full coverage.

Good luck man.
