i'm looking at a 15" mx but i dont know much about them. what kind of sub are they and what do they compare to?

similar to the old re xxx.. it is mostly an SQ sub but does get decently loud.. do not invert it though, horrible motor noise

Really? How similar are they......... the old XXX was one of the best subs ever.

ive heard multiple mx setups and all of them sounded very nice but i wasnt impressed with spl of the woofer at all ..

reminded me alot of a kicker cvx as far as ouput ...

similar in SQ to the old XXX, not as good but close. output is not close though

definitely has a ton of motor noise, here is a video of mine, 12" version inverted. Please ignor the trunk rattles, my trunk install is better since then trust me! I will post my recent install later.

All it is the air moving in and out of the gap since there is no pole vent. just a design flaw.
