ya, I think it was revesed. I was the first one up, and they had the mics reversed. I thought he changed it, but I guess not. But 140.2 on a single 13W6 playing Briney spears in a bigass van FTW.

Just got my new box plan From Phil at Woodlawn for 2 13w6's and will be getting another w6 by this weekend in time to get it together for a show in NH 6/28/08

So whats will I gain with 2 w6's on about 500 watts each? If one did 140, 2 should be good for 143-145.

Props to Phil for a killer box plan.

youll get at least 2 db with the second sub if you had a 1000 on the one sub maybe 3 db but you could do better (some vehicles are more generous than others) good job by the way that is a decent score in a big van with that one sub....(i guess you did your homework on finding your best hit frequency in the britney song you used)

well, short lived happiness.
According to the graph thing, I was hitting a 130.6
That 140 and 142 were both the other guys. I never got over 130.6

Like I said, the mics were reversed. Gee, I was thinking that was kinda high for a single W6.

I did get to a 132.5 messing around with the TL on tones, but it was just messing in the lot.

well, Im gone go shave my sub and see if that helps.

Marc,

That was YOU for those 13w6's???

If you score well at the show, I want some rep.

I really should get some stickers made.

Sean,

Well, if he's hitting that in van and he's not isolating the seating area from the cargo area ( basically one bing open cavern )I can see why the numbers are low.

I know when I finish my van I am going to wall off the seating area from the cargo area effectively creating cabin area the size of the standard pickup which will increase the dB gain of the subs/enclosure I'll be using.

Yea, Thats me Phil. Thanks again. I Havent forgot about you.
And yes, It is an open van. This set up in a car or suv would most likey do a lot better. Im not going for killer SPL scores, If I was, I wouldnt be using W6"s. It's more about being there and having fun, meeting other ppl with similar interests.
Ya, It be nice to get higher numbers, but thats just the way it is.
And my class is limited to 1000 wrms amp. After all, Its a work van first, toy second.

And Phil. You know ppl are going to be asking about that box, I just hope it performs well. JL specs seems to be a tad on the small size when specing out enclosures..
