Well the SS RL-S has a peak to peak of 3". So does the LMS ultra. That's a long "stroke".

hahaha if it were that easy!!!!!!!! excursion really only plays a big role in sealed enclosures and most sealed enclosure applications arent exactly going for high db's so I was just wondering why he was interested in xmax.

if you look at most SPL subs you will notice that xmax is not very high. Most SPL subs are rigid and designed for ported enclosures where you will never reach xmax accept for below tuning. Do some research on spl subs before you go buy one strictly for xmax.

Most SPL subs have an Xmax between 12-17 mm.

And 3" peak to peak is a lot, but there are a ton of subs out right now that have that type of excursion. also, don't get xmax confused with peak to peak excursion since they are completely different things.

as far as subs with a lot of excursion goes, i believe the 06 XXX had about 5-6 inches peak to peak excursion. that's the most i can think of off the top of my head.
