The amps will need a remote wire from the HU.

Ok so now that i know how to wire the system wich way below do you think would be best to wire my Eq up based from my drawing above

6 channel system

6 channel system

restore iPod bass

i got these images from audiocontrol.com if you want a better description about each picture
http://www.mobileaudiocontrol.com/dept.asp?d_id=21366&l1=21366

I dont know if it is true that portable MP3 players dont play bass below 50Hz. According to audiocontrol they dont and they have made a way to restore the bass back from your ipod and if that is true that is my preferred set up but i am just asking because i'm not sure and i dont want extra stuff that i do not need to buy.

My other question is i dont need audiocontrol products for this type of set up as long as i get the same units as audiocontrol and hook them up the same way it should work...like if i wanted a different Eq than an audiocontrol can i just stick it in instead of an audiocontrol Eq and it would be the same?
seems like it should work like that but just double checking myself

I use my iPod for daily use and it plays every note.

To be honest, why do you plan on running so many components? If I was you, I would start with just a good front stage (the HEXs would be fine for this)

Oh ok then i guess its just something audiocontrol sells to see if they can get someone to buy it. then i think i will go with the 4 channel system set up.

Ok thank you. I think i will start out with just a nice front stage and upgrade from there =]

Dont forget about a nice clean HU. Hex will be sweet try to get the 6.5. Four channel if you are going to run some rear. Or two channel and power the rear with the HU.

hunter, audiocontrol saying you lose bass by using ipod is a marketing gimmick. trust me the bass plays fine off of the ipod.

hahaha alright thank you keith.
i was wondering is there an eq that will run 6 pairs of speakers plus a pair of subs?
i want to lay a good foundation in case i want to add an extra pair of speakers in the future.
but for right now i am sticking with a good frontstage.
