are these subs any good? I have a friend thats lookn to buy them. Hes debating on the se 12 or the memphis m3 mojo. I dont know much about either.

RE makes great subs.. I've ran two RE SX 15"s for 2 yrs with no problem.. took more than double rated power daily

also running an RE XXX 15" currently

Craig the SE is 600RMS the mojo 1000RMS.
You should look into the SX or XXX.

and yes my friend ran the 12" SEs.. also got on friend running a single SX 12" which will surprise you and another running a single SX 18" which just hurts in his truck

Re Se can handle a lot of power Quentin had is on a hifonics bxi 1500d and they took that all day long with no problems and to this day still on that amp

Is that 1 BXi 1500d for both RE SE's or 1 for each sub.

If its one for the pair of RE SE's then the RMS is about rite on.(hifonics BXi do around 80% of rated power so that would be about rite.

And yes good companys that makes subs can handle more RMS the rated. But the power has to be UNCLIPPED.

I have been looking at getting four 12's i have come down to either re se's or rd sonances. which one would be better?

never heard the sonances.. they could be a better option but from all the RE SE installs I've heard.. i was impressed with every install.. they really wang

Ya, i have been thinkin of choosing the se's cus ive never heard them sound bad, ive always been amazed. Have you heard any rd subs? i have heard the sonance and the aplpha and wasnt to impressed, but the guy who installed them didnt really know what he was doing.

I've never heard an RD subs, and install is key. Would be nice to do a side by side test

You have to know what you are doing when it comes to what Jack and Quentin are saying.

If you are trying to run that much power go with RE SX's.

yep daily and the sx are real nice subs they start shining i say 1200rms any way you go they are all nice subs

I'm not looking to run one sub at that, i was just gonna run four se's at 3000 watts, i was a little worried that they couldn't handle that but i guess it'll be fine.

I ran a RE SX at 2400 rms which was more like 2920 (both strapped amps 1460rms each birhtsheet) for over a year and sold it to Kevin which ran it for ???? Polo..

Oh and the amps rated power was at 2ohms (2x Kicker sx1250.1) BUT I had dual 1ohm subs, ran the amps at 1ohm so power was a bit higher... :-O .. Polo.
