Alright well let me tell you a little industry secret: Crutchfield overprices their products and people pay that premium because the website is colorful and easy to use.

Dont fall into that trap!

With $1500 you could make a VERY good system.

So - no capacitator crap is needed, no BIG 3 is needed (no right now).

Those RF subs are about $100 a piece if bought seperately. Which means that "box" is worth $200. Thats a bad deal lol.

What car is this all going into?

Dont buy sony. ever.

I would say with $1500.

Get a nice H/U
Single 15" subwoofer
Custom made box
Sub Amp
Set of nice components for the front
Keep stock rear speakers
Component amp
Dynamat or eDead the entire trunk.

You have the planning skills but the equipment is lacking

sorry for not saying the car its a 97 ford escort youre right on sony i agree the components speakers i was very lenient on changing i just wanted to make sure i had all the numbers right as far as amps rating to the sub and amp to components i need to change all the speakers in the car cause theyre all blown and crutchfield had a great selection from wich to choose and make the diagram with ive never done the math with the rms ratings and ohms thats what i was most worried about i dont wanna get the stuff and mess it up ive herd a lot about the power 3 and how it helps your cars entire electric system and makes the negative affects of having components and subs less burdening i plan on doing the components cheap crutchfield wants about 400 for the components and amp and i think id be fine with some stuff from bestbuy i just realy want some good bass if you know were to get some good deals im open for suggestions id like to spend as little as possible i think everybody would and i need an amp with a bass knob for when my wife drives she hates it too loud gives her headaches thnxs for the feedback

Do you like loud bass or low bass?

An FI Q would be a good idea for the sub, gives you nice SQ.

Of course the other thing is how long are you going to keep the car? Is putting $1500 really worth it into an 11 yr old car?

i like the kind of bass that rattles the trailer you pull up next too the heavy vibration and ive been talking to my wife about getting a new car so i may hold off till we get that but im still gonna load some bass into it i saw a pontiac vibe today and was thinking mabye build some custom boxes to sit in the corners of the trunk area and hold 2 12's im just glad i got this rms to ohms ratio stuff figured out now it should be a breeze to make modifications anyway me and my wife were talking today and we definetly need an suv im not sure how the dynamyte would work on that and whats an FI Q
