Gold Member Username: SomedonniedudeIllinois United States Post Number: 1518 Registered: May-07 | Not bashing on these subs or any other, but why would all these companys copy each other in such detail? Couln't they atleast change the freekin basket?! Nice sub tho BTW, looks loud already! Congrats. |
Gold Member Username: HdubbTeam Revolution Post Number: 3648 Registered: Nov-04 | they are cheap and get loud, and im sure they all got together and all said....hey we should all build the same sub at the same time., lol. i bet neither knew that the other was getting them built the same way |
Gold Member Username: Andrew571Stillwater/Edmond, Oklahoma USA Post Number: 1818 Registered: Oct-05 | Alot of subs are made in the same build houses - so designs that are considered 'new' are sent over to the buildhouses where anyone and everyone can see them. Therefore you get replicas of everything basically and companys compete to sell... so it makes sense if you think abou it. But anyways I got work done on the battery rack yesterday. Pics tonight |

Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7443 Registered: Jul-06 | Sweet lookin subs....... But you better have one hell of an electrical system if you're gonna even think about running an AB VFL-500.1 at all, let alone at 1/2 ohm. |
Gold Member Username: Andrew571Stillwater/Edmond, Oklahoma USA Post Number: 1831 Registered: Oct-05 | I got that sh!t on lock MS. Im going to pound this thing dailying at half n ohm. Lemme make u shake shake all from my earthquake |

Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7484 Registered: Jul-06 | What are you getting? To run that amp I would want the biggest alternator possible, plus a bank of several batteries. I would isolate the statring battery also if this is to be played with the engine off (like for comps), just b/c of the massive amount of power that amp will draw, I wouldn't want a drained starting battery. Although this is not absolutely necessary if you are careful. |
Gold Member Username: Andrew571Stillwater/Edmond, Oklahoma USA Post Number: 1836 Registered: Oct-05 | I have a 200 amp alt and 3 kinetik batts. I will be Street Beating. Therefore engine runs @ idle while I pound. I think it will hold up. I wish there was a larger alt for my car, but thats it. |

Gold Member Username: Andrew571Stillwater/Edmond, Oklahoma USA Post Number: 1845 Registered: Oct-05 | Keepen the backseats. 5 seater daily ground pounder |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7509 Registered: Jul-06 | I did the same kinda deal but got tired of having no cargo space real fast. Thats why I'm putting a smaller system in this summer. |
Gold Member Username: Andrew571Stillwater/Edmond, Oklahoma USA Post Number: 1846 Registered: Oct-05 | Yea I can't remember the last time I had cargo space. Usually if I need to take something large I will put it in the backseats... I just can't wait to get thi thing goin. I am going to purchase my amp soon. So frustrating how close I am - but still no bass :[ |
