Just got back from my first contest today. I competed in the super street no wall group. I scored a 142.7 using a 46hz tone. I must say I am now officially hooked. It was great to see everyones faces after I ran cause nobody had ever heard of the alphas, which I thought was weird. However, after i won first place in my class they all knew about my subs. Thanks Steve and RD audio. Can't wait to compete again. I will post pics later on tonight hopefully.
Other notable scores included a guy with 2 18" new BTLs hit 150.? and someone with 4 12" death penaltys hit 152.?

Do you guys think that is a decent score for a trunk car and 2 12" alphas off two ED Nine.1s?

its ok i hit 143.7 with 1 DD 9515g in a daily box on 3,000 watts

2 nine.1's should give you close to 2800-3000

Well, the box the alphas were in today were build for my old BMs. The box is only 4.2 cuft at 32 hz. I feel I would have a much better number when I get around to building a better box for the alphas. Its a good daily box.

Don't know how much voltage drop. But I did notice the high score was posted within the first five seconds every time when I did a variety of tone sweeps. I guess that was from voltage drop.

congrats Paul...the sweeps hurt your score some but you needed to find the right frequency...if your sweeps didnt go 1 hz increments you will want to do that but it sounds like yours did

Sean, I did the sweeps to see what frequency I peaked at. Then in eliminations I played the one tone.

Alright kevin, I will email you. I am very impressed with those alphas. I thought the BMs were great for the money, but those alphas are so impressive. I loved that I could bump the whole way there this morning listening to rock/metal and then be able to make great SPL runs in the contest. A true SQL sub.

Did i mention i have a daily box in a trunk car and was able to drive my wife and son with stroller etc. to the event. Also competed with the rear seat up due to the baby seat. Its not a comp car. I drive it everyday and tried to keep it as everyday as I could while I ran. I'm pretty happy with my score, soon to improve, however.
