Which would be a better set up for SQL?

I can buy 2 of the ID's for the price of the one W6, so my question is which set up would be better (SQL) to run off of a JL 500/1 at 2 ohms?

The reason why I'm asking is because I don't have much experience with Image Dynamics subs...

Thanks.

Kyle that amp will give you 500 1-4 ohms. Are you talking about the old w6 or the new w6v2?

Thanks for the replies.

I'm talking about the new W6. I was using 2 ohms as an example because of the W6 being Dual 4's, and the ID's could be Dual 2's. Would the 500/1 draw more amps if I were to run two ID12D4's into a 4 ohm load instead of a 2 ohm load?

sound quality wise I liked the jl 12 w6 better than my image dynamics idq 12...the jl was in a ported box I think and my idq 12 was in a sealed box...the jl had a jl 250 on it and you could tell it wanted more power so the jl 500 should be perfect if you go with the jl sub

I'd go IDs although the W6 is a nice SQ subwoofer. Either way works.

yeah^, but if going for sql i'd say a pair of ids' would be better than a single w6.
