Tuesday, April 29, 2008 - 15:53 GMT Which would be a better set up for SQL? I can buy 2 of the ID's for the price of the one W6, so my question is which set up would be better (SQL) to run off of a JL 500/1 at 2 ohms? The reason why I'm asking is because I don't have much experience with Image Dynamics subs... Thanks.

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 - 18:04 GMT Thanks for the replies. I'm talking about the new W6. I was using 2 ohms as an example because of the W6 being Dual 4's, and the ID's could be Dual 2's. Would the 500/1 draw more amps if I were to run two ID12D4's into a 4 ohm load instead of a 2 ohm load?

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 - 18:12 GMT sound quality wise I liked the jl 12 w6 better than my image dynamics idq 12...the jl was in a ported box I think and my idq 12 was in a sealed box...the jl had a jl 250 on it and you could tell it wanted more power so the jl 500 should be perfect if you go with the jl sub

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 - 21:29 GMT yeah^, but if going for sql i'd say a pair of ids' would be better than a single w6.
