Ported or sealed enclosure

wats the differences between ported and sealed? wich sounds louder and crisper?

I was going to start a thread with a similar question. The difference is sealed is going to have a faster response time (crisper) and ported "should" be louder depending on how the box is made. With ported you may lose some of the fast response time depending on the dimensions of the vent. Personally I like ported because of the broader frequency range, but the boxes are usually a lot bigger.

If you're a novice builder sealed is a lot easier to design and fabricate. I wouldn't suggest going all out on anyone's first box because if you like bass then it certainly won't be your last.
