Personally, I don't like them. They don't handle the power with ease and the SQ isn't great. Nothing like the older Orions. I would recommend something else.

Sry kev but I gotta disagree I just came from a street competition between a astro van wit a full orion set up hcca subs amps and speakers wit O2 tweeters vs a full JL set in a astro van wit the w6 and every thing jl has to offer and the orion van won. They played the exact song and the orion subs hit harder wit great sq

" They don't handle the power with ease and the SQ isn't great."

The HCCA is an incredible TC-based sub and one of my favorites. It hits extremely hard, handles 3500RMS+ with no problem, and sounds tight and clean while doing it. It also can be placed in smallish boxes, sealed or ported, which gives it alot of versatility.

I hope you are kidding Brad, the new Orion subs are not that great.

As for beating a JL car, that isn't hard. JL sounds great, but output isn't their first priority.
