come one guys i need some input.

here's the story, of man named chad lee.......

i bought a pair of 6 x 9s but i don't like how the stock location is on my rear deck. so i was going to build a pod but there just isn't enough space back there.

this morning i was kicking myself for thinking too one dimensional. lol. i said to myself why not go with a 5.25 coaxial speakers cause they are smaller. the pod would also be smaller so i can build a pod back there. i want to aim it better also cause my stock location just aims it straight up at the rear windshield. the imaging is just terrible like that. i want to aim it in like 45degrees angle towards the front.

so what speakers would you guys recomend. i want a set with some killer mid bass.

i am looking at some jl audio cause the prices are good. any other ideas?

beyma. And if you angle it, you should be able to step up to 6.5 drivers too.

brad i was thinking about those earlier. but my front stage is silk and those are aluminum tweeters. i just don't want the back highs to be sharper than the front.

5" diameter will give you some room to work with and these are 1 1/8" soft domes. Have heard good things about the Tempo series for the $$$. These are basically budget versions of their high end comps made in to an adaptable-mount coax set, and would be a good way to go. You could also do the 6" version, only 3/4 inch bigger than 5 1/4" and would have great mid-bass.

Yeah lol that cd kicks. Well, that one will be on your drive too so just delete it or whatever.
That tweeter can also mount on the midwoofer like a coax you know?
