I am looking into buying a new subwoofer but I don't know what is good or not. The one that I am looking at is the MTX RTP212 package. (http://www.amazon.com/MTX-Subwoofer-Amplifier-Package-RTP212/dp/B000150L5I) Is this a decent sub for the price? My old one is an Audiobahn ATB8AT. I am looking to upgrade but don't want to spend too much money. This one sells for about $150. Thanks for any help!

I don't want to spend more than $250 for everything and room won't be a problem.

although if you dont buy that exact amp at the link you might be able to find another 4 ohm stable amp cheaper

that amp is wayyy too much for that sub! do not buy that combo. the sub is alright however i would try to get an Alpine type-r dual4ohm and try to find a refurbished kicker amp on ebay.

Get the dual 4 ohm version and run that amp @ 2 ohms, that will be plenty of power for that sub, with the headroom to add another one on in the future IMO.

Definitely the best bang for your buck. I have a pair of the 12" MAWs and they're nuts for the money.
