Why would u want to put them in individual boxes? u going for sound quality? or bass?...if ur goin for bass get a dual 12" subwoofer box...ported...to a good freq with ur sub :-) for quality i would seal the box..but i would not do individual boxes

That sub calls for 2 cubes ported. Seeing as how you are probably on a budget this prefab would work:

Could I make a box as good/cheap as this? http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Dual-12-inch-Subwoofer-Box/2667497/product. html#moreinfo

Companies that make those overstock type boxes buy MDF by the trainload. It would be possible to build a similar box to the one I posted for cheaper if you have the skills, but the one you posted is cheaply built and is not big enough volume-wise for your subs. If you are going to build one, copy the sonic model. As far as pre-fabs go that is a very nice cab, I have friends that bought them and they work great for what they are.

I could most likely build it to size the only thing is the things on the sides. the ports i believe? I don't know how to get those or put em in.

No, the ports are slotted and are on the bottom. What you are seeing are the speaker terminal cups. Skip using those and drill a hole on each just big enough to fit the wire through on the back behind each woofer and caulk any extra space around the wires.

Yes, and that is the worst place to use plywood (the baffle).

Scrap that idea and build a box completely from 3/4" or 1" MDF.

That box is over $100 with shipping. How are your carpentry skills?

If you're challenged or under-resourced then buy it made. I didn't know your circumstances.

And this is why I recommended a pre-fab in the first place. Let's face it, the subs you have aren't going to whip up a sonic firestorm, so just buy a pre-fab and go with it until you learn more.

Here are the specs to work with:

Sealed box: 1.2 cu. ft.

Ported box: 2.0 cu. ft.

One 4" x 8-3/4" port

Tuning frequency: 40Hz
