If you want a single 12'' sub that will get loud it's a good sub. It will take quite a bit of abuse as well. It's a bit too heavy for a single sub if you ask me if weight is a concern.

Your actual price will determine imo if it's worth the money.

I've seen 18s sell for less than $500 these days, not worth it IMO.

For 300 it's worth it. Don't listen to M.S. he would run one if given to him for free if he was sponsored by Kicker. The Solo X subs are for getting loud or SPL, lots of people talk sh1t and say they sound like complete garbage but don't listen to that nonsense. I doubt M.S. has ever heard a Solo X tuned to 32hz to know the sub's potential. I'd be surprised if he heard the sub period. Oh and just so you know Cameron, I used to own an 18'' Solo X in an enclosure tuned to 32hz.

You don't tune a sub-woofer, you tune the enclosure or box that it's in. You can change the tuning by the size of the port or vent in the enclosure.

anywhere from 2k-2.5k on that sub would be great. however you should be aware of the electrical upgrades you will be needing to run that much power ($$$)

depends on your vehicle. you'll for sure need an alternator, which will be around 300, give or take some change. a new battery (not a must, but a should) will go for around 100. 1/0 wiring can be bought on here from some members for cheaper than elsewhere, and will probably cost at least 50

a good battery will cost more than 100, fyi. if you plan on playing music with your car off at all i would invest in a big nice battery such as kinetik or powermaster.

Running 2krms+ will require much more work than just "plug and go".
