Take your time.

This is what I did. Cut a sheet that will cover the top, bottom and 2 sides so that is overlaps on the edges. Then cut 2 pieces for the sides and glue them on. Trim up all edges and your done.

Thanks for the vid paul, very informative.

Is there anything wrong with spray painting small areas on the wood where the creases will be before carpeting, as far as effecting the glue or anything?

^^^You know I've had my fair share of gaps in carpet and as long as you're using black carpet I've been lucky in the past to use a black construction crayon and "color" in the wood. Usually the carpet can be stretched enough to cover the gap but it works in the odd event.

Why would you need to spray paint lines? Just follow the way that guy did it in the video posted.

But to your question: I don't believe it would make a difference if you did. Just make sure to use a lot of the spray

Tips that U can give you guys:

1. Do not make your cuts along the edge of the box.

2. You will get adhesive on you, so have something to clean your hands.

3. Make sure surface of carpet and wood are clean before applying.

4. When ever cutting with the razor, always cut slightly on an angle (about 30 degrees).

5. Work fast. You have about 1 min to get everything in place.

6. Spray both the wood and carpet with adhesive for a maximum connection.

yeah i'll keep those in mind too. i'd also put big pieces of cardbord to keep that glue off my shop floor. do this only when spraying with a paint sprayer. it says on the back of the can to spray both surfaces and let it sit for 20 seconds. i did my first headliner the other day, it sux it sags in places.
