you should go with 0 i mean you can get away with it but the smaller the wire the more it chokes out the current so you might overheat your amp just safer to go with the correct size of 0

you can do it with 4ga but i'd get some bigger stuff like they said. IMO it would save you money in the longrun b/c if you ever upgrade. you wont have to waste time replacing perfectly good wire.

"you should go with 0 i mean you can get away with it but the smaller the wire the more it chokes out the current so you might overheat your amp just safer to go with the correct size of 0"

you won't overheat the amp, disregard that post.

4ga is perfectly fine, but it's always a good idea to upgrade to 0ga.

M.S. I PM'd you a few days ago, did you get it?

i would say 4 gauge would be alright but 0 gauge would be a bit better, especially if you decide to upgrade in the future

You are NOT going to overheat 4 gauge wire with a 1200w amp.

You might as well spend the money now and get yourself some 1/0 awg and save yourself money in the future.

Agreed thats what I would do. But there would be no problems if you did use 4 gauge.

Yea, to the OP, you'd be fine on 4 gauge wiring but if you can afford it just go for the 0 gauge and save yourself in the long run when you get bit by the upgrade bug.
