Not a good day for amp

well i was listening to my system while driving around today when all of a sudden i didn't hear my subs. so i pulled over and looked at my sub and amp. my sub wasnt doing anything and my amp was on though but was extremely hot but with no lights on (just the power light) soo... what do you think this means? amp is 1200.1 tantrum pheonix gold

by the way today was a really hot muggy day so thats why the amp was alot hotter then usual.

check your gain maybe? what size wire do you have going to the amp? also bass boost? wire to the wrong ohm load? those are the basic questions you should go check out first

dude this happens to me all the time. usually its because a wire falls out er somethin. if its real serious test each sub and then test amp.

get a volt meter to check the amp. and for the subs take pos and neg speaker wire and hook it to the pos and neg spots and a 9v+ batter and see if you see movement to make sure you didnt blow or fry the coil.
if all tends to be well, go about checking all the wires, this is my basic process.

ok well i got my stuff checked out today by this guy i know and we figured out that it was the sub. so i took the sub out and am shipping it back to SS to get it checked out, but im now selling my amp and epicenter if anybodys interested.
