Alrioght... I have 2 12" solo x's in a huge ported box... I have decided to move them outta my pontiac montana and into my 1999 jeep charokee.Instead of having them in 1 box...I want to build two indentical boxes that will fit into cargo space of jeep while staying below window line. I want to run only one sub full time and both only for competition. When not in use the other will likely stay in van...
According to my calculation I have a tad bit over 14^3 to work with. Anyone have an idea for what size and tuning would be optimal for 1- 12"solo x in a spl setup?
the enclosure can be no wider than 22 in.
no taller than 19 in.
no longer than 30 in.
I will build them myself.. I just need a design that would work for my subs and vehicle. Any help would be awfully nice... Since there will be 2 seperate enclosures port and sub placement will be inportant.. The two setups that I can think to be optimal for this would be
1- sub up ,port back
2- sub back, port up
I am open to other ideas... of course.
again... thanks in advance! sub specs are...

You should build boxes with interchangeable ports.

If you're willing to pay, talk to Pete Kulicki. I don't believe there is a more knowledgeable and experienced designer whose services you can enlist.

I would advise you to make enclosures that use Aero ports for what you want to do.

I would advise you to make enclosures that use Aero ports for what you want to do. This way you can change to your "daily" tuning when you need to.

Yes, I've TRIED editing but it takes way too long, it's faster to make another post and yes, post whoring IS fun.

Have you tried not being so ugly or is looking like a monkey fun? Does your family tree look like it lived in a tree?

Have you tried subwoofertools.com/the RE website or do you want it to be done by a person professionally?
