^^Kyle, Br1an meant that one is an SPL sub(L7) and the other is a SQ sub(Fi Q)

The L7 will get louder, but it is not as good as quality as the Fi Q. The Q will sound better and wont break as easy(corners in the L7 tend to blow easier than most subs).

i dont know how much louder the L7 could be (assuming cone area is about the same) since the Q will handle more power. i've owned both actually haha so i should know but i never had my 2 L7's (15's) fully powered, so i don't for sure. my 18" Q is much louder on the same power that i gave my keekers though

2 L7 15's werent as loud as 1 18"...on the same power????

something is wrong there then. the 15's shoulda been louder due to the cone area. idk maybe thats just me tho.

i underpowered the kickers though like i said. my amps rated for 1500wrms but i'm definitely not pushing that much since i have a stock alt, and i don't let my voltage drop below 14

With the new tinsels(even though Scott said he tried woven before) in place I'd go with the Fi Q.

@-Eric-

it doesnt matter how many watts you were running to either set up (L7/Q) if it were on the same amount, 2 15's will sound louder. did you use a prefab box? or did you build it yourself?

is it really that hard to believe? 2 very under powered L7 15's vs 1 fully powered Q18. i built the box 8cuft @ 34hz, with everything to spec.

Did you actually meter each system or does the Q just SOUND louder. If you're judging it by the sound then I totally believe it.

The Q would have so much better low end that it could sound louder while on the meter it actually wouldn't be.

dude... i'm not going to fight either but i BUILT the box lol don't know if you picked that up or not. i do have pictures of it somewhere... i do know what i'm doing for the most part, so please stop referring to me in noob manner when i've been reading this site for over 2 years.

it was probably the box. i ran the design past people on here and was told it was alright. the port was firing into the car, but there was NO other way to do it due to size constrictions. it was built solid, air tight, was large enough, and had correct port size. if you still honestly can't believe me, oh well, i know what i f*cking heard :-)
