I have a Napa 100 Amp altanator for my car, thats brand new and a new battery too...I have the Lightning Audio Fast and Furious 12" Sub and Amp package. I am planning on getting a half farad cap...will my altanator be good enough to properly do what it has to do if i hook up my system without wrecking the amp and battery so soon?

you have more than enough current to run that fast and the furious package . the amplifier will use up 40-50 amperes from your alternator (only if you crank it up to the max). that still leaves you with plenty of amperes left. a cap isn't even necessary since your alt puts out 100 amps, which is really good. most cars can get by with only a stock 60 amp alt so you don't need to worry about wrecking anything because you have plenty of juice to spare. by the way, you only need a cap if you notice that the volume of your bass fluctuates, which i doubt in your case.
